ALS Crowd Research Project

Help Fund ALS Research Today

ALS Crowd supports advances in ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), often referred to as "Lou Gehrig's Disease,"a progressive neurodegenerative disease of motor neurons in the brain and spinal cord. Approximately 5,600 people are diagnosed annually with ALS in the U.S. Although ALS has been a recognized syndrome for over 100 years, there is currently only one drug widely thought to alter the course of ALS. The drug, Riluzole, is estimated to prolong the lifespan of the average ALS patient by 10% of the time between diagnosis and death. Life expectancy is between two and five years for those of us with this diagnosis. We need your help in order to make new discoveries.
